Most people who type "photocopy near me" into their phone are not really looking for a photocopier. They are looking for copies: ten copies of a form for a meeting, a set of notes for a study group, a contract that three people need to sign, a family recipe book for the cousins. The machine is just the old way of getting there. In Dublin there is now a quicker one: turn the document into a PDF, tell us how many copies you want, and we print them and deliver them to your door — no queue at the counter, no hunting for coins, no copy shop closing at six.

What "photocopying" looks like when you do it online

A photocopier does two things: it captures the original and it prints copies of it. Online, you do the first part yourself with a device you already own, and we do the second.

  1. Get the original onto your phone or computer as a PDF. If it is already a file (an email attachment, a Word document, a form you downloaded), save or export it as a PDF. If it only exists on paper, scan it with your phone: on an iPhone, the Notes and Files apps have a Scan Documents option; on Android, the Google Drive app has a Scan button. Both straighten the page and save it as a PDF. Our guide to preparing a PDF for printing has more tips.
  2. Upload it and choose your copies. On our homepage, add the file, set the number of copies, and pick black & white or colour, single or double-sided, and the paper. You see the exact price before you pay.
  3. We print and post. An Post delivery from €1.95 (free when your printing comes to €30 or more), anywhere in Ireland.

How much does a copy cost?

A standard black & white copy on 80g paper costs €0.08 per sheet single-sided, or €0.13 per sheet double-sided — that is two pages on one sheet. If the copies are only for reading or annotating, our draft paper brings the price down to €0.10 per double-sided sheet. There is a minimum printing order of €2.95 and a €2.95 management fee per order, so the online route really pays off once you need more than a handful of pages — exactly the jobs that tie up a copy shop counter.

Printing twenty copies of a four-page handout double-sided means forty sheets of paper instead of eighty, and the price follows the sheets. Our comparison of single and double-sided printing explains when each makes sense.

When online copies beat the copy shop — and when they do not

Online wins when you need many copies or many pages, when you would rather not leave the house or office, when the local shop is closed at the weekend, or when you want the copies to arrive at a different address from yours. It also wins on consistency: every copy is printed from the same digital file, so there are no crooked pages or grey shadows from the edge of the glass.

The copy shop still wins when you need a single copy in the next hour, or when you need things we do not offer: paper sizes other than A4 and A5, laminating or photo printing (spiral binding we do, from €1.50 a book). We would rather tell you that than have you wait for a delivery that is not right for the job.

Copies for groups, clubs and small offices

Some of our most regular orders are copies for groups: training materials for a sports club, handouts for a community meeting, packs for a parents' association, documents for a small office that does not want to maintain a copier. Upload several PDFs in one order (up to 30 files), give each one its own number of copies and settings, and it all arrives in one delivery. If you need the same pack every month, just repeat the order.

Your originals stay private

Because you send us a file rather than handing over paper, the originals never leave your hands. The PDF is used only to print your order and is permanently deleted within 30 days. For sensitive paperwork, our guide to confidential document printing explains exactly how files are handled.

Next time you catch yourself searching for a photocopier, try the shortcut instead: scan or save the document as a PDF, upload it and choose your copies, and let the copies come to you.
